Technology Incubation Centre is embodied under Government`s Technology Development Cluster (TDC) programme. The programme is designed to strengthen linkages between universities/research institutions and industries. The main objective is to activate and promote the acceleration of the commercialisation activities of both the local universities and research institutions.

The centres are developed based on the strength of the respective universities :

• UPM-MTDC Technology Centre
  ICT, Multimedia and Agri-Bio.
  The centre is located at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in Serdang, Selangor.
  
• UKM-MTDC Technology Centre
  Biotechnology.
  The centre is located at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in Bangi, Selangor.
  
• UTM-MTDC Technology Centre
  Advanced Engineering and Life Sciences.
  The centre is located at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in Skudai, Johor.
